Are you interested in becoming a facility partner with us?
When it comes to providing K-12 education for youth in Residential Treatment Centers, In-Patient Programs, Behavioral Hospitals and other temporary placements, UT University Charter School (UT-UCS) is the trusted choice. With nearly 30 years of specialized experience and the resources of The University of Texas, we ensure that children in the care of our partner facilities receive the highest quality education tailored to their unique needs, offering you and their families peace of mind and security.
Families and caregivers should not have to choose between education and mental health for children in crisis. UTUCS collaborates with facility partners to support and enhance their programs, addressing the holistic needs of each child and fostering both academic and personal growth. Our school district offers instructional staff who are highly trained in:
- Trauma-Informed Care,
- The Neurosequential Model in Education (NME™),
- Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®), and
- Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
At other schools it is so easy for kids to get lost but at UTUCS the staff build relationships with you and help you to be your best. – Yamilex B. UTUCS Graduate, Class of 2023
Additionally, district support staff have decades working with this highly mobile population. Our staff have the networks and systems in place to facilitate transition into our program and for whatever the students next steps will be after.
UT Charter (UTUCS) helped me understand how many credits it took to graduate and we created a plan. – Hattie R. UTUCS Graduate, Class of 2024
New Online Program
Students who exit our facility partner programs have the option of continuing their education with our district. UT-UCS offers an online diploma program with options for students to complete courses before returning to their home school or choosing to earn their diploma with us.
