Before Thanksgiving break, UT Charter School’s Pathfinders campus at the Burke Center for Youth had the incredible opportunity to host an Agricultural Career Fair!
The event was a fantastic success, offering our students a unique chance to connect with professionals in agriculture and learn about the fascinating career pathways in this vital industry. The boys were highly engaged, asking thoughtful questions and gaining valuable insights into the presenters’ day-to-day work and the skills needed to excel in these roles.
There were representative from:
Dr. Damon O’Gan – Austin Equine (Vet right next to the school)
Wade Pierce – TX Parks and Wildlife (Game Warden)
Kenda Thompson-Grosenbacher – NRCS (USDA)
Charlotte Grona – TDA
Jacob Coppedge – TX Quail
Anthony Smith – Tellus Equipment (Ag equipment)
Andrew Christensen – 7R TX Meats (Family owned meat packer in Johnson City)
Penny Reeves – Graymar Farm (Horse Farm)
A huge thank you to our amazing teacher, Stacy Grona, who worked tirelessly to organize this impactful event. Your dedication to creating meaningful learning experiences truly makes a difference!
We are so proud to see our students exploring their interests, building connections, and broadening their horizons. 🌱
